Hi Belinda. Thanks for the feedback. I don’t have any experience with the bottom of the pan burning. I assume you’re using a stovetop pressure cooker? Miss Vickie has a post with some advice that may help http://missvickie.com/howto/cooking101/scorch.htm

I have a question…why when I cook with my pressure does the bottom of the pan burn?

Hi Carolyn – Laura, Hip Pressure Cooking, recently posted about making Dulce de Leche with sweetened condensed milk in the pressure cooker. http://www.hippressurecooking.com/2012/09/pressure-cooker-dulce-de-leche-condensed-milk.html. I really need to try it soon.

I cannot stand at the stove & watch this stuff cook “low & slow”. Can it be done in a pressure cooker (electric)?
Thank you! Carolyn

Hi Wendy – so nice to find others that love their Cuisinart Pressure Cooker. All of those sound perfect for the pressure cooker. I’ll email you about sharing a recipe. Thanks!

I love it, it does Stocks, Soups, Stews, Risottos, Sauces, Mean Corned Beef, Wicked Steam Puddings esp Xmas ones.
Looking forward to seeing what else I can do with it.

I’m sure you can. I did sirloin tips in the pressure cooker that were fantastic. https://www.pressurecookingtoday.com/2012/08/pressure-cooker-sirloin-tips-in-gravy/.

HipPressureCooking.com has a great chart for cooking times. http://www.hippressurecooking.com/p/pressure-cooker-times.html

Suzanne’s recipe sounds great too. Thanks Suzanne!

Recently I had a fairly good size piece of meat I’d FoodSavered a while back. I couldn’t even remember what it was. LOL I thawed it out. Poured a box of fat free beef broth in the cooker. Cut up 2 onions and placed in the bottom. I had Put Garlic Salt, and pepper on it before I froze it. I put the roast on top and spooned a bunch of minced garlic on top. Put it on the Meat Setting and set it for 1 hr. and 15 mins. then let it go to warm and stayed there for about 4 hours because I cooked it early. It was fantastic. My daughter does this also. She puts a piece of meat on in the morning, it goes to warm and she has a wonderful tender dinner waiting when she gets home. Hope this helps. Be creative.
