Welcome to Pressure Cooking Today. I’m so glad you stopped by! I decided to officially launch Pressure Cooking Today with a giveaway for a 6 quart Cuisinart electric pressure cooker.
I started Pressure Cooking Today because I fell in love with my Cuisinart electric pressure cooker. On Pressure Cooking Today I’ll share my journey creating new recipes in my pressure cooker.

I love pressure cooking but when we moved last year my pressure cooker got smashed! Would love another one! My boys love my chicken Marsala and chianti braised roast! Yum!

I am so afraid of pressure cookers. Only my husband uses one and usually I have to stay away from the kitchen I’m so nervous. One time the pressure cooker released early and sprayed hot bean juice on his stomach.
I did not know that they now come in electric. I may have to get him one for Christmas now. Thanks for the giveaway!

Love your blog and then when I saw your new “baby” I was very excited. I have used a very large pressure cooker for some canning in the past but have never used it for meals. Mine is way too big for that purpose and it is a little scary!

I’d love to have a pressure cooker. I notice more and more often that they are being used to quickly cook the tough cuts of meats. With rising prices that would be a huge savings, if I could turn the cheaper cuts of meat into something tender and delicious.

I’ve never bought a pressure cooker because I’ve been afraid of them. I don’t know how to operate — but never been inspired to overcome my fears because I don’t have recipes that would inspire me to invest in one. I’m hoping to learn through your experiences and hope that you give tips about how to shop for a pressure cooker (–there are so many out there with so many features it’s just daunting to even research the most useful features or challenges among all those offered). I love my electric pressure cooker all year long. But I really love it in the summer. No hot kitchen! Sweet corn on the cob in 5 minutes without boiling. Lots more. Love it.

I have the Nesco, and really like it. I also have a Kuhn Rikon that works very well. But I find I use the Nesco more because I can walk away from it.

I’ve been using a Pressure Cooker for 30 years. I love it. I cook whole chickens and debone the meat for chicken salad, chicken enchiladas, and any other dishes that use diced chicken. Artichokes are my favorite vegetable to cook in my pressure cooker. I have even made a cheese cake. Pressure cookers are a great tool in your kitchen. I’m excited to try recipes and tips from your new site.

Oooh, that’s a nice pressure cooker, the one my dad uses always scared me. One of my most favorite recipes is chicken made in the pressure cooker with a vinegar/mushroom gravy served on rice.

Wow this is awsome, going to rethink my thoughts about pressure cooking. I have always been afraid of it as I grew up with my mom using the old fasioned pressure cookers on our farm. The thought was great till she forgot to release the pressure and we spent days cleaning up the contents off of our ceiling. Thanks for sharing. I’ve been considering an electric pressure cooker since I took Chef AJ’s Unprocessed Cooking Class last weekend. She made split pea soup in 8 minutes, and it was delicious! So… pick me! Pick me! 🙂

Congratulations on your beautiful new site! I’m one of those people who witnessed an exploding pressure cooker in my grandmother’s kitchen (decades ago), and have never gotten over my fear of pressure cooking. Your blog might convince me to give it a try.
After years of not owning pressure cooker (I used them often when I had a big family), I finally got a new cooker fairly recently, but forget to use it. I’m hoping your blot (which I’ll follow on pinterest and facebook) will give me new easy ideas for preparing delicious meals for my husband and me.

I love using a pressure cooker, especially in the winter. I sure could use a new one!
Learned pressure cooking at my mother’s side back when it was a dangerous sport — still remember the hissing sound of her Presto. That being said, today’s cookers are safe and wonderful, and I’d love to win this gorgeous electric model.

I have wanted a pressure cooker forever! Congratulations on the new site.
I love making beans in the pressure cooker. It is just like they are slow cooked but in a fraction of the time. LOVE it!

My Mom always used a pressure cooker and the food was wonderful but I never really grasped how to use it, but it I could learn and food taste like Mom’s then VICTORY!!!
I would really like to try this type of “safe” pressure cooker. We recently has a pressure canner blow a valve and it was quite the mess. I also use a regular pressure cooker for certain dishes and worry about the same thing happening.

What a fun, new blog. My mom used her pressure cooker a lot growing up, but they look (and probably work) a lot different now. I’d love to have one!
you do tempt me with this free pressure cooker…. I fall into the scaredy cat category when it comes to using one and so have avoided it entirely. But it’s such an efficient way to cook, if I don’t win this one, it will rank high on my wish list for holiday gift giving !!! LOL…

I have just discovered pressure cooking this year- and am head over heels in love- I am constantly looking for new sites with new ways to use a pressure cooker.. my old 4 quart that I was given is nearly dead, and I have been eyeing the cuisinart 6 quart hoping the price will come down 🙂 My daughter has some crazy allergies and the pressure cooker sure has helped us be more adventurous and healthy in creating new recipes for her.
I have never used a pressure cooker. I would live to win and try it out!
